EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Sunday afternoon marked the end of the series between Belmont (23-26, 12-9 MVC) and Evansville (14-32, 8-13 MVC). Evansville – trying to avoid a sweep – held a 6-5 lead after the fifth inning. Belmont's offense woke up in the seventh inning and rattled off 11 unanswered runs. The Bruins went on to win 16-6 and complete the series sweep over the Purple Aces.

Scoring Action
- Blake Barton hit an RBI single up the middle that scored Charlie Davis in the third inning. Cade Batchelor scored from third on a wild pitch. Later, Landon Godsey drove in a pair of runs on a double to right-center field. Ty Allen brough Godsey home on a double in the next at-bat. Belmont totaled five hits in the inning and led 5-0 after the top of the third.
- Evansville added two runs on a double from Charlie Longmeier in the bottom of the third.
- The Purple Aces cut the Bruins' lead to one run following a two-run home run from Harrison Taubert in the fourth inning. The Bruins clung to a 5-4 lead after four innings.
- Evansville took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning on a two-run homer from Longmeier.
- The Bruins tied the game at 6-6 on Michael Lareau's RBI single in the seventh inning.
- Belmont retook the lead in the top of the eighth inning. Landon Godsey hit a two-out RBI double to left-center field. Godsey's second double of the game gave Belmont a 7-6 lead.
- The ninth inning was Belmont's largest scoring inning of the weekend. The Bruins capitalized on free passes and walks, with 13 batters in the inning. The Bruins scored nine runs on five hits. Dean Spoto's first career hit was a base knock that scored two runs. Following an RBI single from Davis, the Purple Aces issued three walks and hit a batter. Michael Lareau capped off the inning with a two-out single through the right side that scored Allen and Mike Sprockett.

- Lake Morris earned his first career win, behind three hitless relief innings with two strikeouts
- Ty Allen, Michael Lareau and Jake Maddox each had three hits. Lareau had three RBIs in the game.
- Landon Godsey recorded two doubles and a team-high four RBIs.
- Dean Spoto recorded his first career hit and RBIs in the top of the ninth inning.
- Belmont has swept consecutive conference series for the first time since 2022.
- The last time Belmont held a seven-game win streak was March 17-25, 2023.
