Belmont Adds Two New Staff Members

Recent Graduates Return to Alma Mater

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University Athletics announced two, new full-time staff hires Friday.

Anna Brock 'AB' (Hawkins) Armbruster has been named assistant director for student-athlete success and Erin Saggese has been named assistant director of athletic marketing and promotions.

Armbruster returns to Belmont after having served as a student support specialist within the Bridges to Belmont program from 2021 to 2023. Most recently, she oversaw academic support for the women's soccer and swimming programs at Vanderbilt University. Her first role in athletics was as a student-athlete academic mentor at the University of Tennessee. Armbruster, a standout, four-year letterwinner in women's soccer at Belmont, was part of the Bruins' 2019 Ohio Valley Conference championship team which faced 23-time National Champion North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament. She earned her bachelor's degree with honors in 2020 in sport administration with a minor in marketing. Recently married to Belmont men's soccer alumnus JP Armbruster, she earned her master's degree in sport management from Arkansas State University in 2022.

"We are thrilled to welcome AB back to Belmont," said Felicia Bergman, assistant athletic director for academic success. "Her diverse experience across multiple institutions - combined with her deep ties to our University as a women's soccer alumna - will be invaluable to our team. Her return is poised to enhance the quality and impact of the academic support we offer our student-athletes."

Saggese also makes a Belmont homecoming after serving as an athletic communications graduate assistant from 2021-23. The New Jersey native oversaw media relations and social media responsibilities for Belmont women's soccer and softball, while also serving as lead creative for men's basketball. Saggese spent the last two years working as marketing coordinator for Rams Hill Golf Club in Borrego Springs, California. She earned her master's degree in sport administration from Belmont after earning her bachelor's degree in communications and media studies (concentrations in sports marketing and graphic design) from Saint Joseph's University.

"We're excited to welcome Erin back to Belmont in this critical new role," said Jennifer Johnson, assistant athletic director for athletic marketing and promotions. "Her familiarity with Belmont, as well as her perspective having worked outside of college athletics, will be tremendously beneficial. Erin will play an integral part as we continue to grow our engagement initiatives across campus and the Nashville community."
