What's Bruin?
  • The Bruins enter the match riding momentum from a 1–0 victory over Southeast Missouri, earning their first win of the season.
  • Offensive pressure defined the Bruins' last match as they racked up 18 shots toward goal.
  • Forward Kaitlyn Elliott netted her first goal of the season and added two more shots on target.
  • Freshman Meredith Koltz has been instrumental in playmaking, recording two assists in her first two games.
About Coastal Carolina
  •  The Chanticleers are coming off a 2-1 loss against the University North Carolina Wilmington on Thursday.
  • Last season Coastal Carolina was 8-7-6 on the season and lost in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
Series History
  • Belmont is 0-1 all-time against Coastal Carolina and their last matchup was last season in Nashville.
  • The Bruins lost 1-0, in a second half penalty by kick Tamlyn Parks.
Bruins to Keep an Eye on
  • Ava Labocki, who already has a goal and five shots on goal this season, continues to be a key offensive threat.
  • Meredith Koltz, who recorded three shots and one assist in the last game, looks to keep up her strong play.
  • Kaitlyn Elliott (5'10) and Laken Whittington (5'9) are often key targets on corner kicks because they provide great size in the box.
Up Next
  • The Bruins are on the road to Lindenwood University in St. Louis with kickoff set to 12:00pm on Sunday Sept 4.
