Graduate goalkeeper Sydney Jones anchored the Bruins' defense, tying her career high with eight saves in the match. Jones stood tall under consistent pressure, recording six stops in the second half alone to secure her third shutout of the season.
The Bruins generated three shots on goal, including quality looks from Olivia Walker, Megan Miller, and Meredith Koltz, but were denied by Samford's back line and goalkeeper. Belmont's defense, led by Lillie Tabor's full 90 minutes, limited Samford despite 14 total shot attempts.
