NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Softball America announced its Preseason Freshman Watch List Monday morning, and all five Belmont softball freshmen were recognized, placing the Bruins among a select group of programs nationally to earn full-class representation.
The Freshman Watch List highlights first-year players expected to play a role during the upcoming season or who impressed during fall evaluations, based on conversations with collegiate coaching staffs.
Belmont's five honorees among mid-major freshmen include:
Tallulah Eichholz (Harvard, Ill.) – Pitcher/Outfielder
Eichholz earned Two-Time First Team All-State and Four-Time First Team All-Area honors during her prep career.
Lizzie Ozim (Winter Garden, Fla.) – Outfielder
Ozim was named 2025 Foundation Academy Female Athlete of the Year and earned Three-Time All-District Team and Three-Time All-State Team recognition.
Lydia Vanderwoude (St. John, Ind.) – Infielder
Vanderwoude brings consistency and versatility to the infield after being named Two-Time Second Team All-State and Two-Time First Team All-Conference.
Ryan Breer (Puyallup, Wash.) – Catcher
Breer was a standout behind the plate in Washington, earning Two-Time First Team All-League Catcher honors.
Anna Caskey – Infielder
Caskey enters her collegiate career after earning Two-Time Second Team All-State recognition, showcasing reliability and competitiveness at the prep level.
The national recognition underscores the strength of Belmont's incoming class as the Bruins prepare for the upcoming season.
