Efe Tufekci and Mantach Advance in the Singles Main Draw at ITA Regionals Friday

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – Sophomore Cagan Efe Tufekci and junior Kostiantyn Mantach highlighted the Belmont University men's tennis team's second day of action at the 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Championships Friday. Both Efe Tufekci and Mantach won their main draw round of 64 singles matches at the Farm & Forge Club in College Grove, Tennessee.

After getting through qualifying Thursday, Efe Tufekci and Mantach made the most of their first-round matches Friday afternoon. Efe Tufekci prevailed in three sets against Ball State's Andrei Caragea, recovering from a 7-5 opening set loss with 6-4, 6-2 second and third set wins. Mantach dispatched Tennessee State's Chris Bogelin 6-3, 7-5 to advance.

On Saturday at 12:30 p.m., Efe Tufekci will take on fourth-seeded Sam Landau of Indiana in the round of 32. Unfortunately, Mantach had to withdraw from his main draw second round match.

After a tough main draw first round match, junior Charlie Robin won a consolation match as he handled Indiana University Indianapolis' Konner Gunwall 6-3, 6-1.
