SILVIS, Ill. – The Belmont women's golf team aims for a conference title as they compete at the MVC Women's Golf Championship held Sunday-Tuesday in Silvis, Illinois.
BRUIN BITES
- In their final regular season event, the Bruins finished in fourth place at the Jan Weaver Invitational. Sophomore Sloane Biddle led the team as she finished in fourth place with a score of 215.
- With her fourth place finish, Biddle earned MVC Co-Golfer of the Week award. It was the fourth time she had won the award this season and seventh overall in her career.
- Biddle leads the team in scoring with a 73.3 average and has five top-finishes this season. She also has eight rounds of par or better, which ties the program's single season record.
- Graduate student Chloe Tarkany is second on the team in scoring at 74.0 and has four top-10 finishes.
The 2026 MVC Championship is a three-day, 54-hole event, with 18 holes contested on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. It will be held at a new venue, the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. Deere Run is the annual host of the John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour. It will be play to a par 72 and a length of 5,921 yards.
This will be the fourth MVC Championship that Belmont has competed. In three previous championships, their finishes were second (2023), fifth (2024, and sixth (2025).
