SILVIS, Ill. – With
Sloane Biddle in the lead, the Belmont women's golf team remained in third place after 36 holes of the MVC Championship held Monday at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.Â
Belmont shot a second round 313 as a team on Monday to finish the second round alone in third place.  They are 15 strokes back of the leader Bradley (610) and just three back of second place Murray State (622).
Biddle took the lead in the championship in round two after shooting a one over par 73 to finish the day at 147, four strokes ahead of Bradley's Alyssa Mixon, who stands at 151.  Sloane had one birdie and two bogeys on her card on Tuesday.
Two other Bruins are among the top-20 after two rounds of play.  Graduate student
Chloe Tarkany is tied for seventh place at 155.  She shot a second round 78. Â
Freshman
Lauren Davis is tied for 17
th at 158 after carding an 81 on Tuesday.
Junior
Paige Hammarstrom is in a tie for 35
th place at 165, while sophomore
Sophie Skoog, who was subbed in for round two, is 55
th after shooting a 84.
The third and final round of the championship is set to begin Tuesday morning at 9:00am.  Belmont will tee off from 9:50-10:30am.  Live scoring of the championship can be found at BelmontBruins.com.
