LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - Belmont University women's soccer dropped a 5-0 decision at Louisville Sunday night from Lynn Stadium.

The Atlantic Coast Conference contenders got off to a strong start as Amelia Swinarski scored in the 10
th minute.

Megan Miller had an opportunity in the 22
nd minute but Brielle Baker made a low save.
Â
Louisville extended to a 2-0 lead in the 26
th minute, before the Bruins nearly cut the margin in half right before halftime but Baker denied an attempt from
Banin Patterson.
Â
Belmont defended well to open the second half and truly maintained connection in the match.
Â
But three host tallies in the last 15 minutes provided the final margin.

Greta Genie made six saves for Belmont.

Belmont (1-2-1) returns to game action Thursday vs. Marshall. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m. CT from E.S. Rose Park. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the ESPN app.
