NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's soccer is home on Thursday to take on Marshall.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT from E.S. Rose Park. Live stats will be provided and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
WHAT'S BRUIN
- The Bruins start the season off 1-2-1 after a 2-1 come from behind victory over Chattanooga and a 5-0 defeat on the road against Louisville.
- Belmont's Reagan Ross and Kate Virtel each netted goals against Chattanooga.
- Greta Genie is off to a great start to the season following up her MVC goalkeeper of the week nod with a five save first half against Louisville.
About the Herd
- Marshall finished the season 8-5-4 and 4-2-4 in conference play.
- The Herd qualified for the SBC Championship tournament however, they were defeated by ULM in the first round.
- Marshall opened their season 2-0-1 and are coming off a 3-2 victory over Write State.
- The Heard will be looking for their first road win of the season with their only other road game being a 4-0 loss against High Point.
Series History
- Belmont and Marshall meet for just the second time in program history.
- The only other time the two teams clashed ended with Marshal's Angel Fowler burying one into the back of the net in the 86th minute to award coach Simons his first career win.
- This match will be the first time The Herd visits E.S. Rose Park.
