NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University men's tennis program and head coach
Jeff Cero announced the team's 2026 fall tournament schedule, highlighted by trips to Cleveland, Ohio, and Louisville, Kentucky.
The Bruins will begin their fall at the Horizon League Individual Championships at the end of September as the three-day singles and doubles tournament is being hosted by Cleveland State Friday-Sunday, Sept. 25-27. Belmont found success during last year's individual conference championships, capturing both the Horizon League singles and doubles titles at the Beaman Family Tennis Complex.
The following weekend, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 2-4, the Bruins take part in the first of two Louisville Invitationals in the Bluegrass State. Belmont also concludes the month of October in Louisville for the Cardinals' second fall invitational, held Friday-Sunday, Oct. 23-25.
Spending the middle of October in middle Tennessee, the Bruins will make the short trek to College Grove, Tennessee, and the state-of-the-art Farm & Forge Club for the 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Championships, which will be held Thursday, Oct. 8 through Tuesday, Oct. 13. One of the most important tournaments of the fall, Belmont had representation in the doubles round of 16 at last year's regional championships in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The second in-state tournament of the Bruins' fall schedule, Middle Tennessee's MTSU Invitational, will take place approximately 30 miles southeast of Nashville in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 16-18 at the MTSU Tennis Complex.
Following an action-packed October, Belmont will turn its attention to several national tournaments the Bruins hope they have qualifiers for. The 2026 ITA Conference Masters will be hosted Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 5-8 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia. Belmont's ticket to the ITA Conference Masters will be a singles and/or doubles title at the Horizon League Individual Championships. Last year, the Bruins qualified for both the singles and doubles draws with
Sabi Roi and
Stefan Vedovelli winning the doubles consolation title.
The 2026 ITA Sectional Championships, another pathway to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, will take place the same weekend as the ITA Conference Masters, Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 5-8. The ITA South Sectional Championships host site will be announced later.
The 2026 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships will be hosted by the University of Georgia at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia, Tuesday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 22.
This past spring, Belmont went 10-12 overall and 3-3 in Horizon League play, tying for second in the league's South Division. The Bruins have reached two of the last four NCAA Championships by winning the Horizon League Championship in 2023 and 2025.
