NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University women's tennis program and third-year head coach
Ellie Burger released the team's fall tournament schedule Thursday morning. The four-tournament slate features two tournaments in the Music City, a trip to Normal, Illinois, and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Championships.
The Bruins will begin their fall campaign with the first of two Belmont/Lipscomb Hidden Duals, hosted by Belmont and longtime rival Lipscomb on Belmont Boulevard. The hidden dual format of matches will take place Friday-Sunday, Sept. 25-27. The Bruins will also close out their fall schedule of tournaments with the second Belmont/Lipscomb Hidden Duals, held Friday-Sunday, Oct. 16-18.
The first Belmont/Lipscomb Hidden Duals will see North Alabama, Middle Tennessee and nearby Vanderbilt in action, in addition to the Bruins and Bisons. The second Belmont/Lipscomb Hidden Duals will showcase Bellarmine and Southeast Missouri State, along with hosts Belmont and Lipscomb.
Following their first Belmont/Lipscomb Hidden Duals, the Bruins will head to the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Illinois, for Illinois State's Redbird Invitational the weekend of Oct. 2-4. Sophomore
Mia Jones captured last year's No. 3 singles flight at the Redbird Invitational, while Belmont also reached the finals in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles draws.
The Bruins will be back on the road for the 2026 ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Cincinnati at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center Thursday, Oct. 8 through Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Last fall, Belmont had representation in the doubles round of 32 at the regional championships courtesy of juniors
Savannah Webster and
Jessica Popiol.
With transfers
Emmi Kolyszko (Purdue) and
Isabel Pacheco (Cincinnati) joining the Bruins over the summer, Belmont looks to make significant strides in the Missouri Valley Conference this upcoming spring.
