CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to action Sunday at No. 12/11 North Carolina in game two of the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament.
The Bruins overcame a 16-point halftime deficit to defeat Indiana State, 96-95, Thursday. Senior J.J. Mann (Smyrna, Ga.) led six Bruins in double figures with 23 points.
Belmont head coach Rick Byrd and North Carolina head coach Roy Williams are two of the winningest coaches in college basketball. The pair have combined to win 1,367 career games.
Former Belmont center Michael Modlin ('06) is a native of Chapel Hill, N.C. Modlin earned his D.D.S. from the UNC School of Dentistry and is a dentist in Cornelius, N.C.
Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT from the Dean E. Smith Center. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU and the WatchESPN app.
