Men's Basketball Hosts VCU Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to action Sunday against No. 24 VCU.

The Bruins shot 62 percent from the field and forced 19 turnovers in defeating Brescia, 102-68, Nov. 26. Senior Drew Windler (South Milwaukee, Wisc.) scored a season-high 18 points in the victory.

VCU is the first nationally-ranked opponent ever to play at the Curb Event Center. Belmont defeated Air Force Nov. 30, 2003 at home, and the Falcons ended the 2003-04 regular season ranked No. 25.

Belmont has won 23 straight home games - the longest active home court winning streak in the nation.

Former Belmont and current Utah Jazz guard Ian Clark ('13) set a program single-game record by going 10-for-10 from the field in last year's game at VCU.

Entering the 2013-14 season, Belmont (83) and VCU (84) ranked in the top five nationally among non-BCS programs in victories over the last three seasons.

This marks the second meeting between Belmont and VCU. The Rams won, 75-65, last year in Richmond.

Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. CT from the Curb Event Center. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3, Comcast Mid-Atlantic, SportsNet NY and in Nashville on MyTV30. Check your local listings for channel and availability in your area.

Voice of the Bruins Kevin Ingram will be on the call.

The game will also be carried live on the Bruin Sports Network. In-game updates will be provided via Twitter @BelmontMBB.
