NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball completes a three-game homestand Saturday night against Eastern Kentucky.
The Bruins defeated Morehead State, 80-66, Thursday. Sophomore Craig Bradshaw (Ridgetop, Tenn.) scored 24 second-half points to lead Belmont.
Former Belmont forward Keaton Belcher ('10) served as a graduate assistant coach at Eastern Kentucky in 2010-11.
The Bruins and Colonels had two common opponents in the non-conference: VCU and Brescia.
After setting an NCAA era single-game program record by shooting .674 (31-for-46) from the field in last season's victory at Eastern Kentucky, the Bruins shot a season-low .375 (18-f0r-48) Jan. 16 at the Colonels.
Eastern Kentucky baseball head coach Jason Stein spent seven season (2001-07) as an assistant coach at Belmont.
This marks the sixth meeting between Belmont and Eastern Kentucky. The Bruins hold a 3-2 series lead, which includes two wins last season. EKU won at home nine days ago.
