NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Thursday versus Eastern Illinois.
The Bruins defeated Tennessee State, 73-71, Feb. 13. Senior J.J. Mann (Smyrna, Ga.) scored a team-high 21 points for the Bruins.
Mann and Eastern Illinois senior Sherman Blanford have earned OVC Player of the Week honors in successive weeks.
Belmont and Eastern Illinois had one common opponent in the non-conference: Indiana State.
This marks the fourth meeting between Belmont and Eastern Illinois. The Bruins hold a 2-1 series lead in the NCAA era, which includes victory in Charleston last season.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT from the Curb Event Center. The game will be broadcast live on the OVC Digital Network.
