NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Bruins fell to Eastern Kentucky 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at Rose Park.
The Colonels got on the board first behind an RBI single in the top of the second.
An RBI single from Jamie Ritchie (Buford, Ga.) scored Drew Ferguson (Knoxville, Tenn.) from second to tie the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
EKU regained a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth behind an RBI single from Ben Fisher. Fisher had another RBI single in the top of the seventh to put the Colonels ahead 3-1.
Dan Ludwig (Naperville, Ill.) tossed a complete game and registered a career high 11 strikeouts. The left-hander struck out the first three batters he faced in the game.
EKU starter Tanner Perkins went eight innings and struck out seven.
Belmont will conclude the series with EKU tomorrow at 1:00pm.
