CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Belmont men's tennis team fell to Xavier 5-2 in match played indoor Saturday night in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Musketeers won the first point of the match as they captured wins at number one and two doubles. Belmont did earn a victory at number three as freshman
Caio Niel and sophomore
Geoff Tulloch beat Gabriel Araujo and Jeremy Schneider 6-3.
In singles, Xavier posted wins at positions one, four, five, and six to clinch the 5-2 victory over the Bruins. Belmont's two victories came at positions two and three. Senior
Marko Lovrinovic won at two as he beat Jeremy Schneider 6-3, 7-6, while at number three, sophomore
Cedric Dujacquier defeated Matt Bishop 6-4, 6-3.
Belmont (4-3) returns to the court Sunday as they play at Dayton beginning at 10:00am CT.
