NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Heather Henson will not return as Belmont women's soccer head coach, Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Corley announced Thursday.
"We appreciate all that Heather has contributed to our athletic program and wish her well in her future endeavors,"Â Corley said.
Henson went 82-94-33 in 12 seasons as head coach at Belmont. The 82 victories represent the most in program history.
The Bruins earned a national Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches in 11 consecutive seasons.
Sam Mahtani will oversee the women's soccer program on an interim basis, with support from assistant coach
Tinna Gallagher.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
