SAPPHIRE VALLEY, N.C. – The Belmont men's golf ream finished n 15
th place at the JT Poston Invitational held this week at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley in Sapphire Valley, North Carolina.
Belmont carded a final round team score of 302 to finish in 15
th place with a 54-hole mark of 889. Coastal Carolina won the team title at 851, while host Western Carolina was second at 853.
The Bruins were led by freshman
Jack Schoenberger. The Milton, Georgia product posted a final round 75 to finish in a tie for 24
th place at 217. He finished eight shots back of the individual champion, Walker Isley of UNC-Wilmington (209).
Sophomore Michael Senn also shot a final round 75 and finished in a tie for 50
th place at 223.
Other Belmont scores from the event included: freshman
Conner Brown (T-61, 225), graduate student
Joe Bultman (T-76, 229), and junior
Reeve Felner (T-79, 230).
The men's golf team takes a couple of weeks off before returning to action on October 10-11 at the Red Wolves Intercollegiate in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
