ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf team is tied for 12
th after round two of the Sea Palms Intercollegiate held Friday at the Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
The Bruins posted a team score of 290 to drop two places and finish the day tied for 12
th with High Point at 576. Davidson has the team lead at 540. Wright State is in second at 548, with UCF in third at 555.
Two Bruins are among the top-30 after 36 holes. Freshman
Jack Schoenberger posted a three-under par 68 on Friday to move up 30 spots and a tie for 21
st at 140. He is eight shots back of the individual leaders, Will Davis of Davidson and Jacksonville State's Erik Jansson (132).
Schoenberger posted four birdies and one bogey during his second round.
Graduate student
Joe Bultman posted a 73 in the second round and is tied for 27
th place at 141.
Sophomore Michael Senn is tied for 60
th place at 146 after shooting a four-over par 75 on Friday.
Graduate student
Jack Bergstrom is tied for 80
th at 149, while junior
Reeve Felner is tied for 108
th at 156.
Senior
Alex Whitehead, competing as an individual, is tied for 108
th at 156.
