OZARK, Mo. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in ninth place at the Missouri State Intercollegiate held this week at Millwood Golf Club in Ozark, Missouri.Â
The Bruins shot rounds of 292 and 301 on Tuesday to finish the event in ninth place at 890. Oral Roberts captured the team title with a mark of 854. Wichita State finished second at 856, while Northern Illinois was third at 864.
Two Belmont golfers finished among the top-25 at this week's event. Freshman
Jack Schoenberger posted his third top-15 finish of the season as he finished tied for 10
th at 215. He carded rounds of 68 and 75 on the final day of play. The Georgia native finished seven shots back on the medalist, Brandon Hoff of Oral Roberts.Â
Sophomore Michael Senn tied for 26
th place with a score of 220. He posted rounds of 71 and 74 on Tuesday. It was his third top-25 finish of the season.
Junior
Reeve Felner shot rounds of 78 and 74 to finish the tournament in a tie for 50
th place at 228.
Freshman
Conner Brown was 63rd with a mark of 234, while graduate student
Joe Bultman tied for 67
th at 237.Â
The men's golf team is off for a couple of weeks before returning to competition on April 3-4 at the Ernie Denham Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.Â
