ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Making its way to the Midwest this weekend, the Belmont University men's tennis team repeats last weekend's opponents on the road. The Bruins, who will put their season-best seven-match winning streak on the line, take on Lindenwood Friday in St. Charles, Missouri, before heading to Eastern Illinois Saturday for a morning contest in Charleston, Illinois.

Friday's first serve from the Lindenwood Tennis Facility is slated for 11 a.m. while Saturday's match will see a 10 a.m. start at the Darling Courts.

An unblemished 5-0 in Horizon League play and in firm control of the league's South Division, Belmont (14-5) went a combined 12-1 across singles and doubles last weekend against the visiting Panthers and Lions. The Bruins topped Eastern Illinois 6-1 last Saturday and swept Lindenwood 4-0 last Sunday afternoon. The Panthers' lone win came at No. 5 singles after the match was decided.

Riccardo Trione remains ranked nationally, checking in at No. 82 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings. The tandem has won nine in a row and is an impressive 14-1 on the year.

The Lions enter the weekend 4-7 on the season and 1-4 in the Horizon League.

Eastern Illinois is 5-10 overall and 1-4 in conference action after being swept at Tennessee State last Sunday. The Panthers will once again go up against the Tigers Friday in Illinois before welcoming the Bruins Saturday.
