CHICAGO – On its final day of competition at the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships, Belmont women's track and field collected four total medals.
Top Performing Bruins
Brooke Garter clinched third place in the mile finals with a personal best time of 4:45.01. Garter also received the Elite 17 Award for academic excellence.
Rebekah Stucker notched a personal best in the shot put at 15.00m (49' 2.5"), securing eight points for Belmont.
Logan Gray threw 14.81 (48' 7.25") in shot put, securing six points for Belmont.
Rachel Soukup earned fifth in the mile with a personal best time (4:50.03) while Brooke Stromsland followed in sixth in 4:50.86.
Alexa Fortman earned third place in the 800m finals with a time of 2:13.65.
Grace Litzinger finished fifth in the 3000m in (9:43.78) while Garter came in 9:44.46, combining for seven Bruin points.
Overall, Belmont finished in fourth place with 85 points.Â
