Atlanta, Ga. -- Completing its first meet of the outdoor season, the Belmont University women's track and field team saw action at the Yellow Jacket Invite this weekend.Â
Hosted by Georgia Tech, the Bruins competed across six events at the meet.
Top Performing Bruins
Logan Gray headlined for the throws crew in three events. In the discus throw, Gray threw 140' (42.67m). 45'3" (13.79m) was her shot put mark. Rounding out in the hammer throw, Gray threw a personal best 164' 9" (50.23m).
Alexa Fortman ran a personal best 59.41 in the 400m.
Rachel Soukup was the Bruins top finisher in the 1500m as she crossed the line in 4:32.22.
Madelyn Quinn threw her first javelin of the season at 150' (45.75m).

The Bruins will return to action next weekend at the Ole Miss Classic on Friday and Saturday March 22-23.Â
