Azusa, Calif. -- Competing on the west coast, the Belmont University men's track and field team saw action at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Six distance student-athletes competed on the women's side.Â
Top Performing Bruins
Carter Cheeseman headlined for the Bruins, setting a program record in the 5000m with a personal best time of 13:52.41. He finished in 11th place overall. He ranks No. 2 in the Missouri Valley Conference in his event. He ranks No.40 on the NCAA's East Region Outdoor Qualifying List.
Kevin Vanderkolk earned a top 20 finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:55.63.
Nick Mota secured 15th place in the 5000m with a personal best time of 14:12.19.
Jacob Ricks notched a personal best in the 10,000m run with a time of 29:44.19m. He ranks No.1 in the conference in his event. He ranks inside the top 100 in the NCAA East Region.
Joel Wolf set a personal best in the 5000m with a finishing time of 14:31.95.
Drew Brill ran 14:50.30 in the 5000m.
