Azusa, Calif. -- Competing on the west coast, the Belmont University women's track and field team saw action at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Four distance student-athletes competed on the women's side.Â
Top Performing Bruins
Kaitlyn Vanderkolk headlined for the Bruins by setting a program record in the 5000m with a time of 16:02.40. She ranks first in the Missouri Valley Conference in her event. She ranks No.23 on the NCAA's East Region Outdoor Qualifying List.
Alexa Fortman also set a program record in the 800m with a personal best time of 2:10.34. She ranks inside the top 10 in the conference in her event.
Rachel Soukup also notched a personal best in the 5000m, clocking a finish of 16:19.35. She ranks just behind Vanderkolk in her event in the conference standings.
Brooke Stromsland earned a personal best in the 5000m with a finish in 16:52.16.
Next Up
The Bruins will return to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Invite on Friday and Saturday April 19 and 20.
