Nashville, Tenn -- The Belmont University men's track and field squad had a great weekend competing in the Outdoor Music City Challenge at nearby Vanderbilt University.Â
Top Performing Bruins
Austin Belle headlined for the Bruins, securing program records in the 100m and 200m dashes with blazing fast times. In the 100m, Belle crossed the finish line in 10.47 seconds (No.3Â in MVC). In 200m action, he finished in 20.67Â seconds (No.1 MVC, No. 39 NCAA East). Both are personal best marks.
Kevin Vanderkolk clinched a win with a personal best, and a program record in the in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8.48.42. He ranks No.1 in the MVC and 20th in the NCAA East Region.
Drew Brill secured a top five finish in the 3000m with a time of 8:32.71.
Nick Mota ran a personal best of 3:52.14 in the 1500m.
Robert Joseph threw a personal best of 53.38m in the hammer throw.Â

The Bruins will have one weekend off before preparing for the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana, May 10-12.Â
