TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - - Belmont University men's track & field kept its momentum from Friday, adding another gold medal at the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships from the Gibson Track & Field Complex on the campus of Indiana State University.
Vincent Flegeance finished third in the 110m hurdles preliminary race, earning himself a personal best with a blistering 14.14. His time was only 0.04 seconds off the program record and qualifies him for the 110m hurdles final on Sunday.
Kevin Vanderkolk secured his second conference steeplechase victory (2022 Ohio Valley Conference) with his first-place finish on Saturday in 8:52.40. Only a few seconds off his program-record time of 8:48.42, Vanderkolk claimed his third 3000m steeplechase win of 2024 and first MVC title.
Jackson Grant also notched a personal-best standard in the shot put.
Belmont is in fifth place in the team standings heading into the final day on Sunday.
