HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Belmont women's cross country team closed out their 2025 season with a slew of personal bests at the NCAA South Regional meet on Friday morning at John Hunt Cross Country Running Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
The winning team, Florida, earned 52 points to claim the title, with their top three runners finishing 4-5-6. Tennessee finished second with 101 points, while Alabama rounded out the top three, scoring 125 points in their home state.
Sophie Nicholls led the way for Belmont, finishing 67th with a career-best time of 21:07.23.
Clara Crain, who came in 108th, also smashed her personal record, running the 6K race in 21:32.90.
Sophomore
Lilie Fouts ran a 22:10.08, only two seconds off of the personal best she recently set at the 2025 Gans Creek Classic.
Carson Wasemiller rounded out the Belmont roster, finished with a season best of 22:19.73.
The individual title went to last year's runner-up Alabama's Doris Lemongole, who also set a new course record of 18:43.77.

This meet marks the end of the season for Belmont. With no graduating seniors, all of the Bruin women are set to return to the course next year.
