NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Belmont University Baseball has officially announced its 2026 season schedule featuring 32 home games at E.S. Rose Park.
Belmont begins the season
February 13–15 on the road at
Samford before returning to Nashville for its home opener on
February 17 against
Bellarmine. The Bruins will then host
Central Michigan for a four-game series on February 20–22, including a Friday doubleheader at E.S. Rose Park. The month of February also features home dates with an early key matchup against
Georgia State (Feb. 27–March 1).
One of the most anticipated aspects of the schedule is the slate of non-conference matchups against some of the region's most respected programs. The Battle of the Boulevard returns with two meetings against
Lipscomb February 24 on the road and
March 24 at home continuing one of Belmont's most storied rivalries.
March delivers one of the most challenging stretches of the season, highlighted by home series with
Wofford (March 6–8) and midweek contests against
MTSU, Tennessee Tech, Western Kentucky, Lipscomb, and a crosstown trip to face
Vanderbilt on March 31. The Bruins will also travel to
UAB for a three-game set March 13–15. Belmont opens Missouri Valley Conference play on the road at
Illinois State (March 20–22) before hosting
UIC the following weekend (March 27–29).
The Bruins being April with a pivotal road series at Murray State from April 2–4 stands out as a potential turning point in the season, and home matchups against
ETSU (April 10–11),
Evansville (April 17–19), and
Bradley (May 1–3). The Bruins will also travel to
Valparaiso (April 24–26) and close their conference road slate at
Indiana State May 14–16. Belmont's final non-conference test will be a midweek game at
Tennessee on May 12.
The regular season concludes at home May 8–10 as Belmont hosts
Southern Illinois, setting up the Bruins for postseason play. The
2026 MVC Tournament is scheduled for
May 18–24 in Murray, Kentucky.
Belmont enters the season with a talented core of players ready to make an impact.
Andrew Perry brings defensive stability and versatility, while
Mike Sprockett adds power and consistency after hitting .278 with 42 RBIs last season.
Charlie Davis, the team's offensive catalyst, returns after leading the Bruins with a .315 batting average, 80 hits, and 25 stolen bases.
Michael Lareau provides another reliable bat, posting a .307 average and .861 OPS with 30 RBIs and four home runs. These players will be instrumental as Belmont navigates a demanding schedule.
Belmont also looks forward to the addition of Max Wright to the coaching staff, whose experience and leadership are expected to strengthen player development and overall team strategy.
The Bruins will appear throughout the season on
ESPN+, with broadcast information announced at a later date. All game times are listed in Central Standard Time and are subject to change.
Belmont Baseball looks to build momentum following last season's finish against Missouri State, entering the 2026 campaign with a reloaded roster featuring 19 newcomers. The Bruins aim to blend fresh talent with returning experience as they prepare for another highly competitive slate in the Missouri Valley Conference.
