NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team is back on the links this Monday and Tuesday at the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana.
WHAT'S BRUIN
- The Bruins are coming off a sixth place finish at The Velvet Classic two weeks ago in Kentucky.
- Sophomore Sloane Biddle was named MVC Co-Golfer of the Week on September 19 after finishing runner-up at The Velvet. She finished the event in a four-way tie for first at 221, but fell in the playoff. It was the third time in her Belmont career that she earned weekly honors from the MVC.
- Biddle leads the team in scoring with a 73.7 average. Senior Chloe Tarkany ranks second with a mark of 75.3.
The Butler Fall Invitational is a two-day, 54-hole event, with 36 holes contested Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. It will be held at Highland Country Club, which will play to a par 70 and a length of 6,022 yards.
The field features 14 teams and includes the likes of host Butler, Loyola Chicago, Marshall, Dayton, Green Bay, and two other MVC squads: UIC and Indiana State.
This is the fourth time Belmont has played in this event. They have three top-10 finishes, including a second place showing in 2021.Â
