NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont Baseball head coach
Dave Jarvis released the program's 2027 schedule Thursday.
Â
Headlined by trips to Atlantic Coast Conference contender Duke, and midweek games against Vanderbilt and Tennessee, the Bruins look to position themselves for success in the always-formidable Missouri Valley Conference.
Â
"As with any season, our objective is to get meaningful competition throughout the non-conference to be ready for league play," Jarvis said. "We have a nice blend of returning players and newcomers this season and I am hopeful we can carry some momentum we built from the fall into the spring."
Â
Despite losing three all-conference players, Belmont returns a nucleus that was fourth in the MVC in strikeouts per nine innings.
Â
Belmont opens the season with a four-game homestand vs. Toledo Feb. 19-21.
Â
Besides the trip to Durham, Belmont has non-conference weekend series vs. Quinnipiac, Wofford, Middle Tennessee, and ETSU.
Â
The Bruins travel to defending MVC champion UIC April 2-4.
Â
The 2027 MVC Baseball Championship will be held May 26-29 at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium in Chicago.
