Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The American Baseball Coaches Association is proud to recognize Belmont University with the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the sixth year in a row, presented by Sports Attack. The award honors ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Bruins earned this honor after posting a 3.274 team GPA for the year. Leading the way were third baseman Landon Godsey and first baseman Jake Maddox, who were both named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team and the CSC Academic All-District Team. Other schools in the conference to receive this award was Bradley, Indiana State, Murray State, Evansville, and UIC.
