Around the Curb for the 2026-27 academic year.

Around the Curb with Jill Jelnick will spotlight the extraordinary stories of Bruin student-athletes and showcase all that makes Belmont University Athletics special.

The series debuts Tuesday, Aug. 18 featuring Belmont women's soccer standout
Lillie Tabor, with posts each Tuesday throughout the season.

Jelnick, a two-time Edward R. Murrow Award recipient for distinguished achievement in broadcast journalism, spent the past five years as sports director at Fox 17 in Nashville. The Aliso Viejo, California native worked at affiliate stations in San Antonio, Chattanooga, and Greenville, North Carolina, while also contributing to ESPN live event productions.

Jelnick begins as a tenure-track professor of media studies at Belmont this fall.

This relaunch celebrates the award-winning original series –
Around the Curb with Paris Lawson – which began in 2017 and spearheaded Belmont's run of Sports Video Group (SVG) College Sports Media Award nominations.

Lawson, a 2019 Belmont graduate and part of four consecutive NCAA Tournament teams in women's basketball, is a rising star in sports media; currently serving as studio host and reporter for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
