NASHVILLE, Tenn. --Â Belmont Baseball earned its first weekly honors of the 2026 season from the Missouri Valley Conference for the week of March 2-8. Cavan McMeans was named Newcomer of the Week, while McKale Stevenson earned Freshman of the Week honors.
Right-handed pitcher Stevenson made appearances in both the midweek matchup against Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders baseball and during Belmont's weekend series against Wofford Terriers baseball. Stevenson threw 1.1 innings against Middle Tennessee and added two innings of relief for Owen Cavey in Game 2 against Wofford. Across those appearances, Stevenson recorded three strikeouts while allowing just two hits.
