NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team is back in action here in the Music City this Monday and Tuesday at the Nashville Invitational at Hermitage Golf Course.
WHAT'S BRUIN
- In their last event, the Bruins finished in third place out of 10 teams at the Huntsville Intercollegiate on March 2-3.
- Sophomore Sloane Biddle earned medalist honors in Huntsville, posting a 54-hole score of 214. It was her second career individual title and her efforts led to being named MVC Golfer of the Week.
- Biddle is currently the second highest ranked golfer in the MVC according to the NCAA/Clippd Rankings. She leads the team in scoring average (73.2), top-five (3) and top-20 (6) showings.
- Graduate student Chloe Tarkany ranks second in scoring at 74.4 and has three top-10 finishes.
The Nashville Invitational, hosted by Lipscomb, is a two-day, 54 hole event, with 36 holes contested on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. It will be held on the General's Retreat course at Hermitage Golf Course. It will play to par 72 and a length of 6,056 yards.
The field features 16 teams and includes the likes of host Lipscomb, Austin Peay, Dayton, Loyola-Chicago, and Memphis.
Day one play begins Monday morning at 8:00am CT. The Bruins will be teeing off from holes 1-5, 17 and 18. Live scoring can be found at BelmontBruins.com.
