Women's Golf Begins Spring Season in Alabama Monday and Tuesday

The Bruins will compete in the Huntsville Invitational.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team kicks off their 2026 spring season this Monday and Tuesday at the Huntsville.org Invitational in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.

WHAT'S BRUIN
  • The women's golf team had three top-six finishes, including a team championship at the Braun Intercollegiate.
  • Sophomore Sloane Biddle leads the team in scoring (73.6), top-10 finishes (3), and top-20 finishes (5).  Her best finishes were runner-up showings at Murray State and Evansville. 
  • Graduate student Chloe Tarkany ranks second on the team in scoring at 74.5 and has three top-20 finishes.
The Huntsville.org Invitational is a two-day, 54-hole event, with 36 holes contested on Monday and 18 holes on  Tuesday.  It will be played on the Highlands Course at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.  The course will play to a par 72 and a length of 6,039 yards.  

The field features 10 teams and includes the likes of host Samford, North Alabama, Austin Peay, UAB, and one other MVC school, Indiana State. 

This marks the fourth straight year Belmont has played in this event.  They have earned top-seven finishes in the last three years.
