ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Sophomore women's golfer
Sloane Biddle has been named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Co-Golfer of the Week as announced by the conference office on Thursday. She shares the honor with Evansville's Jane Grankina.
Biddle earned the honor after finishing fourth at last weekend's Jan Weaver Invitational in Murray, Kentucky. The Old Hickory, Tennessee native carded rounds of 73-71-71 for a 215 total. The Bruins, as a team, placed fourth.
It was Biddle's fifth top-five finish of the season, which includes one win and two runner-up finishes. In her nine events this season, she hasn't finished lower than 15
th place.
This is the fourth time Sloane has earned weekly conference honors this season and her sixth time overall. She joins former Bruin Cameron Fish as the only Belmont golfers to win Golfer of the Week honors four times in a season.
For the season, Biddle leads the team with a 73.0 average and rounds of par of better with eight.
The women's golf team will be back in action this Sunday-Tuesday at the MVC Championship in Silvis, Illinois.
