NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team wraps up their regular season this weekend at the Jan Weaver Invitational in Murray, Kentucky.
BRUIN BITES
- In their last event, Belmont finished runner-up at the Houston Lake Invitational in Perry, Georgia. They tied their season-low 18 hole score of 295 in the final round. In addition, graduate student Chloe Tarkany won the individual title with a final round 66, which is tied for the second lowest 18-hole score in program history.Â
- Tarkany has won two individual titles this season and four for her career. The Arizona native is the third highest ranked MVC golfer in the Clippd Rankings and ranks second on the team in scoring at 74.0.
- Sophomore Sloane Biddle leads the team in scoring at 73.5, top-10 finishes (5) and round of par of better (6). She has one win, two runner-up finishes, and is the second highest ranked golfer in the MVC according to the Clippd standings.
- The team's season scoring average of 302.3 is trending to be one of the lowest in program history.
The Jan Weaver Invitational, hosted by Murray State, is a two-day, 54-hole event, with 36 holes contested Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. It will be played at the Miller Memorial Golf Course, which will play to a par 72 and a length of 6,109 yards.
The field features seven teams and includes host Murray State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Lindenwood, Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois, and Tennessee State.Â
