Men's Tennis Falls to Jacksonville State 4-2

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Belmont men's tennis team saw their six-match win streak come to an end as they fell to Jacksonville State 5-2 in an OVC match played Sunday in Brentwood, Tennessee.

The visiting Gamecocks won the doubles point as they earned wins at positions one and three.  BU did win at number two as Cedric Dujacquier and Henrik Claesson beat Mathias Chairn 8-3.

In singles, JSU cinched the 4-2 match victory as they posted wins at positions four, five, and six,  The Bruins picked up two wins in singles.  At number one, Mauricio Antun beat Pedro Wagner 6-3, 6-1, while at number two, Marko Lovrinovic defeated Jaryd Reese 6-2, 6-1.  The match at number was unfinished.

Belmont (8-9, 6-1) will be back in action this Saturday as they play at SIUE starting at 1:30pm.
