NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Belmont fell 13-3 in a seven-inning contest with Middle Tennessee on Tuesday at Rose Park.
Belmont struck first after Matt Beaty's infield single drove in Drew Ferguson who tripled to center. Middle Tennessee responded with five runs in the second to take a 5-1 lead.
The Blue Raiders extended their lead to 11-1 behind six runs in the third capped by a bases clearing double from Trent Miller.
Beaty led off the sixth with a double to right center and scored behind a home run from William Dodd.
Belmont will conclude the regular season with a three-game series with Tennessee Tech beginning on Thursday, May 15. Thursday's first pitch is slated for 5:00pm. The Bruins' three seniors (James Buckelew, Blake Harvey and Spencer Petett) will be honored before the first pitch on Saturday.
