The Bruins took the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Matt Beaty (Dresden, Tenn.) started the hitting for the Bruins with a single through the right side. Beaty stole second for his 9th stolen base of the season to be ready and in scoring position. Nick Egli (Brentwood, Tenn.) stepped up to the plate with two outs and Beaty on second. The Govs fought back with two runs of their own in the fourth and plated another two off a two run home run in the fifth.
The Bruins were able to plate a single run in both the eighth and ninth inning but it wasn't enough to regain the lead. Kyle Conger (Brentwood, Tenn.) led off the top of the eighth with a hit-by pitch and advanced to second on a passed ball he was later plated off a two out double to far right center by Beaty. In the ninth, Desi Ammons (Hohenwald, Tenn.) came into the game to pinch hit and doubled down the left line, he scored off a single by Dom Veltri (Clarksville, Tenn.).
