CCB Invitational Day 2

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - - The Belmont men's tennis team completed day 2 of the CCB Invitational on Saturday, in which they went 1 and 6 in their singles matches. 

Dawson Blankinship was today's winner in the first round of the consolation bracket, in which he faced Nathan Fruh of South Alabama. Blankinship lost the first set 4-6 but then was able to turn it right around and win the second set 6-4. They then played in a tiebreaker set, in which Blankinship was able to win 10-8.

Dawson Blankinship, Grant Kelly, David Faulkner, and Jake Briggs will compete in their singles matches at 12:00 tomorrow. 

Blankinship/Kelly will compete in the final round of their doubles draw against Sebastian Rios/Cotter Wilson of Ole Miss at 9:00 A.M., while Faulkner/Briggs will compete in their consolation bracket against Giovani Pasin/Fernando Vargas of UAB at 9:00 A.M.
