Tiebreaker not in the favor of Belmont

Surprise, Ariz.--The doubles pair of Hendrik Inno and Marko Ilic fall in the round of 32 in the ITA National Fall Championships after losing their last set in a tiebreaker to August Holmgren and Joel Gamerov on Wednesday.

The first set was neck and neck throughout most of play, but then as the set was tied at 4 games a piece, Holmgren/Gamerov were able to win two games in a row to take the first set 6-4.

After that first set loss, Inno/Ilic got off to a hot start in the second set as they were up 5 games to 2. However, they were struggling to win that final game and lost four games in a row to Holmgren/Gamerov. With the Euro Duo on the brink of elimination, Inno/Ilic were able to snag one more game and force a tie breaking game to decide the second set. However in the tiebreaker, the Belmont boys fell behind early and couldn't come back, losing the second/final set 7-6(4)

Inno/Ilic will continue play tonight as they face Julien Evrard and Kostya Nesterenko of Nevada at 7:00 P.M.(CT).
