NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University student-athletes recorded another remarkable semester in the classroom as 2022 fall semester grades were finalized last week.Â
For the 2022 fall semester, the departmental grade-point average (GPA) was 3.511, which marked the 50th consecutive semester that Belmont student-athletes have earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  In addition, it was the sixth straight semester that the department GPA was over a 3.5.
"Once again our student-athletes did an extraordinary job in the classroom," said Scott Corley, Belmont Vice President/Director of Athletics.  "The credit for that performance goes to our student-athletes, coaches, and academic support staff who continue to maintain our department's commitment to academic excellence on a daily basis."
Highlights from the spring semester included:Â
- Two-thirds of student-athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher
- 12 Bruin teams posted a team GPA of 3.5 or higher for the semester.
The top-10 team GPAs from the spring semester were as follows:
Women's Golf – 3.869
Women's Cross Country – 3.759
Women's Basketball – 3.750
Men's Tennis – 3.690
Women's Track and Field – 3.656
Women's Soccer – 3.637
Volleyball – 3.636
Softball – 3.618
Men's Golf – 3.576
Women's Tennis – 3.563
