NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University Athletics announced three full-time staff promotions Monday.
Â
Brie Ashauer and Catherine Mitts have been elevated to associate athletic trainer while Jared Brown has been elevated to assistant director of sports performance.
Â
"Brie, Catherine, and Jared have made immense contributions to our athletic department and we congratulate them on their much-deserved promotions," Corley said.
Â
Ashauer has played an integral role in student-athlete care since her arrival to Belmont in the spring of 2021. As the primary athletic training contact for softball, and cross country, Ashauer spearheaded sports medicine, treatment, and recovery for Belmont's back-to-back NCAA Tournament softball program and All-American pitcher Maya Johnson.
Â
Mitts has quickly assumed a leadership role at Belmont over the past four years. She oversees care for Belmont women's soccer and women's track and field. 13 Belmont women's track and field athletes qualified for NCAA postseason during Mitts' tenure.
Â
Brown, who joined Belmont in the fall of 2025, will assume greater sport coverage and department leadership responsibilities. A graduate of Penn State, Brown also has experience at Tennessee State, UAB, and Coastal Carolina.
