ATLANTA, Ga. – The Belmont men's track and field team finished its first day of the Yellow Jacket Invite held Friday in Atlanta, Georgia and saw five Bruins finish inside the top 10 of their competitions.Â
The Bruins' top finisher was Bo Miller who earned a third-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 59.08 meters. Â
Ben Miller also competed in javelin, and he earned eighth, throwing 43.83 meters.Â
Jackson Grant and Robert Joseph competed in shot put and hammer throw.Â
Grant earned seventh in both categories with Joseph close behind in eighth in each.   Â
Beginning in distance, Zach Brill ran in the 3000m steeplechase and secured a sixth overall finish in 9:34.97.Â
Three Bruins ran in the 1500m. Gavin Morrow earned fifth in his heat in 4:05.57 while Joel Wolf followed in seventh at 4:09.71 and Garrett Hesselgesser finished the heat ninth at 4:11.81.Â
Zac Shaffer and Noah Epker ran in the 5000m. Shaffer finished in 15:11.00, while Epker followed in 15:22.46.Â
The second and final day of the Yellow Jacket Invite begins Saturday at 12 p.m. CT with high jump and continues through the afternoon, concluding with 4x400m relays at 3:40 p.m. CT. Â Â
