RALEIGH, N.C. – Three Belmont University men's track and field distance runners raced in the highly-competitive and decorated Raleigh Relays late Thursday afternoon and early evening in Raleigh, North Carolina.Â
Hosted by North Carolina State, the Bruins battled against some of the nation's toughest competition in the 5000m and the 3000m steeplechase. Â
Jacob Ricks and Jack Zettl both achieved personal bests in their competitions.Â
Among a field of 205 runners, Ricks clocked a time of 14:45.01 while Zettl closely followed in 14:45.08.Â
In the 3000m steeplechase, Kevin Vanderkolk also achieved a personal best.Â
Registering a time of 9:06.86, the sophomore claimed 29th overall in a field of nearly 70 runners.Â
