Long Beach, Calif.– The Belmont men's track and field team began competition in California this weekend at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate hosted by Long Beach State University in Long Beach, California. Five Bruins competed against a variety of west coast teams and programs from across the country in their only day competing in the city.Â
Jayden Gray ran in the 100m and 200m dashes, achieving personal bests in both events.Â
In the 100m, Gray finished in 10.74 seconds, earning first place in his heat. In the 200m, he finished atop his heat again in 21.99 seconds.Â
Beginning field action, Payton Culp cleared 4.41m as the lone Bruin in pole vault.Â
Jackson Grant threw 14.56m in the shot put while Bo Miller threw 57.65 in the javelin competing with Ben Miller, who threw 46.36m.Â
